The Norwegian Transparency Act
On July 1, 2022, the Norwegian Transparency Act came into force. The purpose of the Act is to promote companies' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services. In addition, the Act ensures public access to information about how companies address negative impacts in this area.
Hydrovolt strives to maintain a responsible business and is committed to promoting and respecting human and labor rights throughout the entire organization, including our supply chain. To identify potential negative impacts on people, society, and the environment, we carry out due diligence assessments in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
Our internal policies and guidelines set the standard for how we conduct our business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. At Hydrovolt, we also place requirements on our suppliers through our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Hydrovolt is operating a battery recycling plant in Norway and purchases certain goods and parts to its operations mostly from countries within the EU, while selling critical battery materials to countries within the EU and OECD.
